USUALLY THE MORE EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT HAS A SMALLER TIP AND THE BETTER THE TIP TYPE..ELLIPTICAL VERSES CONICAL. YOU DECIDE HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO SPEND..BASED ON YOUR AUDIO NEEDS. MANY ARE OFFERED IN GENERIC FORM (GOOD DIAMOND TIP) AT REDUCED PRICES. GENERICS ARE IDENTIFIED "G". IF YOUR REPLACEMENT HAS A "D", IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.
